In loving memory of our dear daughter ANNIE SHIEL KERR of East Learmouth 1908 – 1939. Also ALICE C. KERR  Mother of the above and wife of GEORGE KERR 1879 – 1948  GEORGE SHIEL KERR 1883 – 1967

Here lies the body of WILLIAM KERR who died in Carham August 25th 1768 aged 55 years. Here lies the body of GRACIE KERR spouse to WILLIAM KERR who died July the 20th 1794 aged 80 years..

Section A – Row Yet Unknown but likely to be near church – Scott/Gillhespy

Erected by JAMES GILLHSPY in memory of MARGARET SCOTT their daughter who died at Sprouston Station 19 Jan  1861 aged 9 months.

Also ELIZABETH ELLEN their daughter who died  May 10th 1870  aged 8 months

Also DOROTHY  their daughter who died 8th July 1876 aged 21 years.

JAMES GILLHSPY who died at Wooden Mill18th April 1898.

The above MARGARET GILLHSPY died at Wark 10th March 1912

 

Memorials inside the Church South Wall – 2 – Lundie

Marble, white on black ; Nisi Dominus :

This tablet was erected by the Rev. WILLIAM COMPTON LUNDIE of Spital Berwickshire in grateful & affectionate remembrance of his father the Revd. WILLIAM COMPTON LUNDIE M.A. for many years Vicar of this parish and Rector of St Olave in the city of Exeter who died on the 18th day of June 1843 aged 74years.

And of his mother MARY COMPTON LUNDIE who died on the 17th day of October 1838 aged 61 years.

Their remains are interred in a vault in this church.  Almighty and everliving God, we bless thy Holy Name for all thy servants departed this life in thy earth and fear beseaching thee to give us grace so to follow their good examples that with them we may be partakers of thy Heavenly Kingdom.

Marble, white on black: Erected to the memory of RALPH COMPTON Esquire of Melkington House who died on the 22nd of August 1837 aged 71 years. Also of ISABELLA his wife who died on the 25th of April 1817 in the 37th year of her age.
