Old Churchyard – Row 7 – South – Bell/Dumma

In memory of AGNES BELL beloved wife of JOHN DUMMA who died at Ancroft 16th Oct 1907 aged 63 years. ADAM their son who died 10th June 1885 aged 3 years. MARY their daughter died 18th June 1885 aged 5 years. Also the above JOHN DUMMA who died at Adderstone Mains 22nd Oct 1922 aged 83 years. ELIZABETH their daughter who died 11th Oct 1947 aged 71 years. MARGARET DUMMA died at Akeld 18th May 1894 aged 94 years.

In memory of ARTHUR BLENKINSOP COULSON. for fifteen years Vicar of this Parish. Also 23 years Vicar of Carham he died at Branxton November 17th 1905 aged 64. How beautiful are the few of them that preach the gospel of peace. Rock of ages cleft for me. Let me hide myself in thee.

Erected in memory of GEORGE DRYBURGH beloved husband of MARGARET DRYBURGH who died at Mardon Jan 1st 1919 aged 74 years. Also the above MARGARET DRYBURGH who died at Blinkbonny 13th Oct 1921 aged 74 years. Also WILLIAM their youngest son who died 23rd Dec 1947 aged 55 years. MARGARET their daughter who died at Ayr 2nd April 1950 age 70 years.

Erected by ELIZA STEEL in memory of her husband ISAAC STEEL tenant of East Flodden who died 25th May 1881 aged 22 years. Also ELIZA DAVIDSON wife of the above named ISAAC STEEL died 15th October 1887 aged 64 years. ELIZA CATHERINE STEEL daughter who died 7th November 1903 aged 39 years.

(This headstone is tightly surrounded by a yew bush and holly bush and the words and dates require a double-check)

In loving memory of ROBERT PATTERSON beloved husband of ELIZABETH PATTERSON who died at Marden Cottage April 9th 1908 aged 64 years. Also the above ELIZABETH PATTERSON who died at Barnesbury Road Newcastle, 12th April 1925 aged 72 years.

Interred in Heaton Cemetery.

In loving memory of JOHN JAMES SIDLEY MA Vicar of Branxton who died 14 April 1890 aged 36. He be dead yet speaketh. VIOLET, infant daughter of the above died 4 April 1889. CECIL M. SIDLEY The dear son of the above who gave his life for King and country 25th Sept 1916.

Also ISABELLA daughter of the above died at Branxton Hill 28th March 1900 aged 67 years.
