Private Robert Elliot

Private Robert Leathard Elliot, 52nd Graduating Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. He died at Home on 8th July 1918, aged 18. He was the son of John and Isabella Elliot of Tenter Hill, Wooler and is buried in Wooler ( St. Mary ) Church Burial Ground. A graduating battalion saw to the training of young soldiers before they were sent to their respective fighting units. His Headstone is inscribed ” Dearly Loved Only Child Of John And Isabella Elliot Wooler”.
