Corporal James Scott

Corporal James Laidler Scott, 9th Battalion, Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. He died in Japan as a Prisoner of War on 2nd February 1945, aged 30. He was the son of John and Elizabeth Scott of Glanton, Wooler and is buried in Yokohama War Cemetery, Japan. He had been captured in February 1942 with most of the rest of the Battalion when Singapore surrendered on 15th February 1942.
