Rifleman Robert Robison

Rifleman Robert Adam Watson Robison, “D” Coy. 16th Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps. He was killed in action in France on 15th September 1916, aged 22, during the Battle of the Somme. He was the son of Robert and Dorothy Robison of 3 Falloden Terrace, Tweedmouth and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval, Somme, France. The photograph shows a recently captured trench on the Somme with the chalky soil of the Region very evident.
