Private Peter Steel, 6th ( Service ) Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s ( West Riding Regiment ). He died at home on 20th October 1943 and is buried in Tweedmouth Cemetery. He was the son of George and Helen Dick Steel of Tweedmouth.
