Private Robert Halliday

Private Robert Halliday, 6th ( Service ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died in France  on 27th November 1916 ,aged 20. He is buried in Fauberg D Amiens, Arras, France. He had lived with his widowed Mother and Grandmother at Simprim before enlisting. He was a bomber with the Battalion and was killed whilst on a working party. His Headstone is inscribed “Greater Love Hath No Man Than A Man Lay Down His Life For His Friends”.
