Private Isabella Oliver

Private Isabella McRobert Oliver, Auxiliary Territorial Force. She was killed on Service on 28th May 1944. aged 19. She was the daughter of William and Esther Oliver of Lockerbie and is buried in Stow Cemetery, Stow, Scottish Borders. She had been working in a camp set up for French refugees near Worthing when it was hit by a bomb meant for the nearby railway line. Some A.T.S. girls were killed and others injured.
