Private Hall Brown

Private Hall Brown, 5th Battalion, Black Watch.  He was killed in action in Normandy on 12th June 1944, aged 32 and is buried in Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France.  He had been born in Stow and was the son of the late Agnes ( Brown ) Dodds. His Battalion had landed in Normandy on D-Day 6th June. The photos show Scottish troops in Normandy.
