Lance Corporal Christopher Mullins

Lance Corporal Christopher John Mullins, 5th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in action in Germany on 21st January 1945, aged 20. He was the son of James and Grace Mullins of Fernihurst, Midlothian and is buried in Sittard War Cemetery, Limburg, Netherlands. He fell in the fierce fighting in and around the village of Waldfeucht where a German counter attack supported by Tiger tanks tried to evict the Borderers from the village. Eventually the Germans were repulsed and the village secured. His Headstone is inscribed ” Always Remembered By His Loved Ones At Home” The photos show the Borderers in North West Europe in 1944-1945.
