Private William Walton

Private William Blackett Walton, 244th Battalion ( Kitchener’a Own ) Canadian Infantry. He died in England on 7th April 1917 of wounds received in action in France and is buried in Brighton Road ( Bear Road ), Lewes, Sussex. The Battalion started recruiting in Montreal in March 1916 and upon arriving in England many of of its members were transferred to other Units at the Front.
