Private James Murray Ormiston, 2nd Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders. He was killed in action in France, aged 19, on the 11th April 1917 during the Battle of Arras. He has been born in Selkirk in 1897 and was the son of John and Margaret Oliver of 29 Kilncroft, Selkirk. He is buried in Brown’s Copse Cemetery, Roeux, Arras, France where his Headstone is inscribed ” At Rest”.
