Private James Brown McClory, 12th (Provisional) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died on Service, aged 32, at Home on the 29th March 1916 from tuberculosis. He had been born in Galashiels in 1883 and was the son of the late John and Jean McClory and the husband of Annie McClory of 28 Curror Street, Selkirk.. He was employed as a woollen pattern weaver when he enlisted in the Reserves and is buried in Selkirk Cemetery.
