Gunner Richard Litster

Gunner Richard Scambler Litster, “A” Depot, Royal Garrison Artillery. He died at Bilsdean, Oldhamstocks on 19th December 1916, aged 19 and is buried in Oldhamstocks Parish Churchyard. He had been born in Oldhamstocks and was the son of George and Isabella Litster of Bilsdean, Oldhamstocks. Before enlistinf he had been employed as a grocer in Cockburnspath. After suffering from consumption he was discharged from the Army and died in the family home at Bilsdean.
