Lance Corporal Felix Hall, 11th ( Service ) Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was killed in action in Belgium on 31st July 1917, aged 26, on the first day of the Battle of Third Ypres. He was the son of James Hall. J.P. and Mrs Hall of Fairfield, Newton St Boswells and is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. He had studied design and manufacture of woollens at the South of Scotland Technical College in Galashiels and was an assistant manager when he enlisted in November 1915.
