Private Thomas Mabon

Private Thomas Jamieson Mabon, Royal Scots. ( The C.W.G.C. site has his Unit as 10th Battalion, Cameronians ). He was killed in action in France on 28th March 1918, aged 26, during the German March Offensive and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, Arras, France. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Archibald Mabon of Airhouse, Oxton, Berwickshire. He was born in Cavers, Roxburgshire, enlisted in Leith and lived at Haymount near Kelso. He had originally enlisted in the Royal Scots but had transferred into the Cameronians.
