Private Thomas Bruce

Private Thomas Hall Bruce, 12th/13th ( Service ) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. He died on 12th November 1918 of wounds received in action in France, aged 29. during the ” Advance to Victory”. He was the youngest son of Andrew Geggie Bruce of Beal Farm, Beal and the husband of Robina Bruce. He is buried in Rocquigny-Equancourt British Cemetery, Mannancourt, France. He had been born at Whitelea Cottage, Lowick and had enlisted in Berwick-upon-Tweed. The photos show Allied troops advancing after the retreating German Army.
