Private William Hall

Private William Hall, 2nd Battalion, Durham Light Infantry. He died of wounds in Hospital in Southampton on 29th October 1918, aged 21. He was the son of John and Margaret Hall of Lowick and is buried in Lowick ( St. John the Baptist ) Churchyard, Lowick, Berwick-Upon-Tweed. He had joined the Army in May of that year and had gone to France on 17th September and was wounded during the ” Advance to Victory”. The photos show Allied troops advancing after the retreating German Army.
