Lance Corporal Isaac Proudlock

Lance Corporal Isaac Proudlock, 8th ( Service ) Battalion, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was killed in action in Belgium on 29th September 1917 during the Battle of Third Ypres, aged 29. He was the son of Lewis and Jane Proudlock of Bowsden and the husband of Mary Jane Proudlock of 32 Chevington Crescent, Morpeth and is buried in Hooge Crater Cemetery, Hooge, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. He was the brother of George Proudlock who also fell, see above. The photographs show the desolation of the Flanders battlefields where the incessant shelling had destroyed the drainage systems.
