Private W. Tully

Private W. A .O. Tully, 10th ( Service ) Battalion, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was killed in action in Belgium on 4th October 1917 during the Third Battle of Ypres and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Flanders, Belgium. The photographs show the nature of the battlefield after the incessant shelling had destroyed the fragile Flanders drainage systems.
