Corporal A. S. E. Tully, 11th ( Service ) Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment. He was killed in action in France on 29th June 1918 during the capture of Vieux-Berquin and is buried in Aval Wood Military Cemetery, Vieux-Berquin, Nord, France. The attack by the 92nd Brigade of the 31st Division was described as ” a model Operation ” for artillery cooperation with several hundred prisoners taken. 11th East Yorks was a ” Pals ” Battalion formed in Hull in 1914 and was known as the Hull “Tradesmen” Battalion .
