Private Robert William Harkness, 8th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at Home on 10th June 1944, aged 26 and is buried in Castleton Cemetery, Newcastleton. He was the son of William and Mary Harkness and the husband of Edith Harkness of Walton, Peterborough.
