Private Norman Blythe Watson

Private Norman Blythe Watson, 4th Battalion, Royal Scots. He died in hospital in Malta on 16th August 1915 of wounds sustained at Gallipoli on 15th June, aged 23  He was the son of Rev. J. Mitchell Watson of Leitholm and is buried  in Pieta Military Cemetery (Malta). He was educated at the Berwickshire High School, Duns and was a law student at Edinburgh University from 1912-1914. Whilst at his studies he joined the 4th Royal Scots as a territorial. He is also commemorated on the Memorial Tablet placed in the new Berwickshire High School, Duns.
