Private Thomas Moore, 78th Battalion, Canadians,( Manitoba Regiment ). He died of wounds in France on 30th September 1918 aged 41 during the “Advance to Victory”. He had been born in Lauder and was the son of William and Elsie Moore of Lauder and the husband of Agnes Moore of Austen Street, Winnipeg and is buried in Terlicthun, Wimille, Bolougne, France. He was wounded during the fighting at the Canal du Nord and died in the 14th Stationary Hospital at Wimereux. The photos show allied troops advancing after the retreating German Army.
