Corporal James Greener

Corporal James Greener, 8th Royal Tank Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps. He was killed in North Africa on 8th December 1941, aged 22. He was the son of Robert and Estella Greener of Longframlington, Northumberland and is buried in Knightsbridge War Cemetery, Libya. He fell in action during ” Operation Crusader ” which was designed to relieve the besieged port of Tobruk. At this time 8th R.T.R were equipped with the Valentine tank.
