Private George Redden

Private George Redden, 1st Battalion, Border Regiment. He was killed in action in Flanders on 28th September 1918 during “The Advance to Victory” aged 25. He was the son of James and Jane Redden of Hutton and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Belgium. The photographs show Allied troops during the final advance against the retreating German army in the last 100 days of the War.
