Private William Cowe

Private William Cowe, 10th ( Service ) Battalion, Highland Light Infantry ( The City of Glasgow Regiment ) He was killed in Normandy on 27th June 1944, aged 24. He was the son of William and Isa Cowe and the husband of Euphemia Cowe of Aberlady and is buried in Manvieu War Cemetery, Cheux, France.  His Headstone is inscribed ” Safe Is Your Refuge Sweet Is Your Rest We Miss You Most That Loved You Best”.
