Private William D. Clark, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. The C.W.G.S. shows his regiment as 2nd Battalion Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ). He died whilst a Prisoner of War on 10th August 1918 and is buried in Glageon Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France. He had been born in Greenlaw and had enlisted in Galashiels. It is possible he had been transferred into the Cameronians from the K.O.S.B.
He is also commemorated on a Memorial tablet in the Berwickshire High School, Duns.
