Private Robert Douglas, 4th ( Border ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died in the Fever Hospital, Dunfermline on 28th July 1918, aged 20, and is buried in Greenlaw Kirkyard. He had been born in Southdean, Roxburghshire and was the son of Anthony and Robina Douglas of Rumbleton Law, Greenlaw. Before enlisting he had been employed as a ploughman at Halliburton, farm, Greenlaw. He had been in training with the 3rd/4th (Reserve) K.O.S.B. in Fife when he fell ill. His brother John also died-see above.
