Lance Corporal Duncan Cochrane Hislop. 1st/4th (Border) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at 293 Galapark Road, Galashiels aged 20, on the 11th March 1915 from T.B. He had been born in Portobello and was the son of the late Elizabeth Hislop formerly of Damside, Galashiels. Before enlisting he had been a wool pattern weaver.
