Corporal Andrew Inglis, 2nd Battalion, Cameronians. He was killed in action in France, aged 31, on the 26th February 1917 and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. He had been born in Leith and was the son of George and Isabella Inglis who had been married in Galashiels. He had been a Reservist and was in Galashiels when he was mobilised joining the 2nd Battalion, K.O.S.B. He later served with the 6th K.O.S.B. before transferring to the Cameronians in October 1916.
