Private William Renilson Crowe, 1st Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was killed in action in France, aged 24, on the 20th December 1917 and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral, France. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of John and Jane Crowe of Bank Close, Galashiels. He had originally enlisted in the Army Service Corps in November 1914 and went to France in December 1915 where at some point he had been transferred to the Fusiliers.
