Lance Corporal Donald Gordon Cruickshank, 16th (Service) 2nd Glasgow, Battalion, Highland Light Infantry. He was killed in action in Belgium, aged 39, on the 2nd December 1917. He had been born in Yetholm, Roxburghshire and was the son of Donald and Margaret Cruickshank of Darnick, Melrose and the husband of Margaret Cruickshank .He had been employed as a gamekeeper before enlisting in the K.O.S.B. He was lter transferred to the H.L.I. in France.
