Private William Anderson Kinghorn, 1st/4th ( Border ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died from wounds in the 11th Casualty Clearing Station at Gallipoli, aged 20, on the 21st June 1915 and is buried in Lancashire Landing Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey. He had been born in Fogo and was the son of Mr and Mrs Kinghorn of Bogend and had joined up with his boyhood chum ( see above ) Arthur Lorimer. Both had been educated at Fogo school and were scarcely ever apart. Now they both lie in Gallipoli together for all time. He had been employed as a rabbit catcher when he enlisted with Arthur in November 1914 going to Gallipoli as part of the 52nd ( Lowland ) Division in June 1915.
