Private James Boyle

Private James Boyle, 7th/8th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died in France on 24th January 1917, aged 28 and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval, Somme, France. At that time the Battalion was holding front line trenches known as ” Scots Redoubt” and suffered from intermittent shelling and sniping.
