Lieutenant Edward Joseph Waugh, Kings Own Scottish Borderers att. 2nd Battalion Berkshire Regiment. He was killed in action against the Japanese in Burma on 6th January 1945, aged 28. He was the son of Edward and Mary Jean Waugh of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the husband of Josephine Waugh of Berwick-upon-Tweed. He is buried in Takkyan War Cemetery, Burma where his Headstone is inscribed ” Eternal Rest Give Unto Him, O Lord; And Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him”.
