Trooper Robert Wilson

Trooper  Robert Wilson,Acting Lance Corporal Robert Wilson, 3rd Traffic Control, Military Mounted Police. ( Formerly Lothian and Borders Horse )  He had been brought up by his Grandmother in Craigsford, Earlston and had enlisted in the Lothian and Border Horse before going to France in July 1916 where he transferred to the Military Police. He died on service from pneumonia in the 44th Casualty Clearing Station in Cologne, Germany on 28th February 1919 during the occupation of the Rhineland and is buried in Cologne Southern Cemetery.
