Rifleman Adam Wilson

Rifleman Adam Wilson , 2nd/5th Battalion, London Regiment, ( London Rifle Brigade ). He died on Service in Germany aged 21 on the 5th April 1918. He had been born in Gordon and was the son of Alexander and Margaret Wilson of Newhouse, Lilliesleaf. He had been employed as a shepherd at Huntlaw, Lilliesleaf when he enlisted in the Army Service Corps in May 1915 going to France in September 1915. There he was transferred to the London Regiment. He died in a German camp whilst a P.O.W. and is buried in Niederzwehren Cemetery, Kassel, Germany.
