Aircraftsman First Class, Mark Moffat Flinn, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died in Borneo, aged 24, as a Prisoner of War of the Japanese on 4th October 1944 and is buried in Labuan War Cemetery, Brunei Bay, Borneo. He had been born in Duns and was the son of Robert and Robina Flinn of Tannage Brae, Duns. Before enlisting he had been employed by a fishmonger in Duns. He had been captured at the fall of Singapore in February 1942 and died in the Sandakan Camp in Borneo.
