Private John Nesbit

Private John Nesbitt, 1st/8th ( Territorial ) Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. He died of wounds in a Casualty Clearing Station in France on 1st October 1918 during the ” Advance to Victory ” aged 19. He was the third son of Mr and Mrs Nesbit of North Doddington, Wooler and is buried in Grevillers Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. The photographs show Allied troops advancing after the retreating Germans in the last 100 days of the War.
