Shoeing Smith George Walker

Shoeing Smith George McCall Walker, 1st Coy., 25th Division Train, Army Service Corps. He died in Belgium on 25th April 1918 of wounds received on that day from shellfire aged 22. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Walker of 18 Lothian Street, Hawick ans is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery. Before enlisting in November 1914 he was a blacksmith with Mr. Cockburn, Denholm.
