Driver Robert Oliver

Driver Robert Oliver, Royal Army Service Corps. He died on Service in Germany on 6th September 1945, aged 28 whilst part of the Occupation Forces and is buried in Kiel War Cemetery, Kiel, Germany. He had been born in Crailing and was the son of Andrew and Jessie Oliver of Nesbit Boathouse, Crailing and the husband of Helen Galbraith Oliver of Netherbyres, Berwickshire. His Headstone is inscribed ” Until The Day Breaks And the shadows Flee Away”. He died from typhoid Fever in the 67th British General Hospital in Rendsburg.
