Rifleman John Robinson Reid, 8th ( Territorial ) Battalion, London Regiment ( Post Office Rifles ). He was killed in action in France on 26th July 1918, aged 22. He was the son of Alexander and Sarah Reid of Cornhill and is buried in Pernois British Cemetery, Halloy-Les-Pernois, France His Headstone is inscribed ” Beloved Son Of Alexr & Sarah Emily Reid Of Cornhill-On-Tweed “.
