Private David Kinghorn

Private David Halliday Kinghorn, Kings Own Scottish Borderers ( Depot) . He died on 28th September 1920 in Bellahouston Hospital, Glasgow, aged 31 and is buried in Lennel Old Kirkyard, Coldstream. He had been born in Coldstream and was the son of Margaret and the late William Kinghorn of Coldstream and the husband of Agnes Kinghorn of 3 Church Close, Coldstream. He had been employed as a carter when he enlisted in November 1915 in the 1st/4th ( Border ) Battalion, K.O.S.B.. Due to the effects of wounds he was discharged from the Army in March 1919 and died the following year.
