Private Willam Dickson, Kings Own Scottish Borderers attached to the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots ( possibly the 12th Battalion ). He was killed in action in France during the Battle of Arras on 10th May 1917, aged 19.He was the son of William and Ellen Dickson of 3 Harbour Terrace, St, Abbs and is buried in Faubourg D Amiens, Cemetery Arras. He was killed by a shell whilst he was in his billet with some comrades one of whom was killed and ten others wounded. He had enlisted in July 1916 and had only been in France for two months. Before enlisting he had worked on Northfield Farm, St Abbs.
