Private James Scott

Private James Scott, 2nd Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) . He died in France on April 17th 1917 of wounds received in action during the Battle of Arras in France on 17th April 1917 and is buried in Bray Military Cemetery, Somme, France.  He had been born in Coldingham, lived in Reston and had enlisted in Berwick-upon-Tweed.  The photographs show British troops accompanied by a tank in the main street of a recently captured village near Arras.
