Fusilier Leslie Alexander, 9th ( Territorial ) Battalion, Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. He died in Malaya aged 22 on 13th February 1942 during the Battle for Singapore and is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial. He was the son of Jeremiah Grey Alexander and Mary Ann Alexander of Chatton, Northumberland
