Aircraftsman 2nd Class Edmund Turner Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died on Active Service in Italy, aged 21, on the 17th May 1944. He had been born in Eclles, Berwickshire and was the son of George and Elizabeth Turner of Torwoodlee, Caddonfoot and Alderson Lodge, Haddington. He died as a result of an accident at the 38th Personnel Transit Centre, Italy and is buried in Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy where his Headstone is inscribed ” Beautiful Memories Sweet And True From Those Who Thought The World Of You”.
