Driver Thomas Cathie, Army Service Corps. He died at Home on Service, aged 37, on 17th December 1918 and is buried in Dalkeith New Cemetery. He had been born in Haddington in 1881 and was the son of John and Mary Cathie of Dalkeith and the husband of Fanny Cathie of Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith. Before enlisting he had been employed as a chauffeur and was living at Faughhill, Bowden. He served throughout the War and died from Influenza in Craigleith Military Hospital, Edinburgh.
