Lance Corporal William Atkinson, 1st Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. He died in Germany , aged 22, on 23rd December 1918. He was the son of William and Annie Atkinson of 38 Castlegate, Berwick and is buried in Hamburg Cemetery. It is likely he had been a Prisoner of War. His Headstone is inscribed ” Gone But Not Forgot”.
